Discover opportunities in skilled trades. In this RSIZ Academy, Tradewinds Academy prepares students for college and careers with a focus on skilled trades. This academy offers four pathways in HVAC and Sheet Metal, Electrical, Construction Management and Inspection, and Carpentry. 

What to Expect

Academic Focus & Work-based Learning

  • Students have an opportunity to complete rigorous hands-on coursework, including field experiences, shadowing, and dual credit opportunities.

  • Students will have dual credit opportunities through the Javelina Skilled Trades Academy at Texas A&M University Kingsville.

Coursework & Certifications

These pathways follow the below course sequences

  • Sequence | Electrical
