Within this RSIZ Academy, the Ignite Technical Institute includes two pathways, Welding and Fire science.
What to Expect
Academic Focus & Work-based Learning
For welding, students may spend four years on campus taking welding classes that allow them not only marketable skills, but also an associate’s degree from Del Mar College.
In their junior and senior years, students will have opportunities for workbased learning and internships in welding.
Students in Welding may also achieve NCCER Core certifications, AWS certifications.
In Fire Science, students earn their EMT-Basic Certification.
